Visit the fascinating town of Modica, with its stunning and magnificent Duomo di San Giorgio. The old town is divided into two parts, Modica Alta set on the ridge, and Modica Bassa down in the valley. Stop at the oldest chocolate factory in Sicily for a delicious chocolate tasting. For lunch, you will taste in a local "rosticceria", Scacce and Pastizzi, a typical plate of Modica.
In the early afternoon, discover charming Ragusa Ibla. Experience a visit to an artist who has recovered the traditional decoration of the Carretto Siciliano, the old ornate and colored carts.
On the way to Siracusa, stop at a boutique winery to taste their precious wines and have lunch. Afterward, head to Noto for a walk in the town to admire the Baroque facades of the elegant buildings.
Continue to Siracuse's island Ortigia and discover the labyrinth of charming medieval streets. Ortigia is small, but packed with more than 2,500 years of history and shows countless monuments, beautiful mansions, and townhouses, a variety of churches, wide squares, and winding alleyways that make this town a rare jewel.
Siracuse
Enjoy a (guided) walk of Ortygia, ending at the food market. Meet there Claudio, who shows you the art of traditional basketry. A short drive outside of Syracuse, you can visit an olive farm. Take a walk through the groves, have a professional taste of the oil, and finish with a homemade lunch that is served in a familiar setting.
